Emma is a former Health and Physical Education teacher, the reigning Best and Fairest for the Western Bulldogs AFL Women’s (AFLW), a 2017 All Australian player, and is also a cricketer for the Melbourne Stars in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL).
Emma loves teaching young people and seeing their development into adulthood. She has been a HPE teacher for the past six years and has seen the positive impact the AFLW season has had on her students, particularly females. Throughout the AFLW and WBBL season, she was working full-time as a teacher and although this was challenging, seeing the enthusiasm that her students had towards her efforts and achievements was very rewarding.
