Dennis is currently President of the Australian Primary Principals Association (APPA) and was previously the founding principal of Harrison School, a new Preschool to Year 10 School catering for over 1400 students in Canberra. He has been involved in education for over 30 years, including the positions of teacher, executive teacher, consultant and Principal of a small country school, a large regional school, Special School and establishing a large metropolitan P-10 school. His experience includes both catholic and government primary and high schools in NSW, NT and the ACT.
Dennis has held positions as Co-President of the ACT Principal’s Association, Vice-President of the Australian Government Primary Principals Association and executive member of the Australian Primary Principals Association. He has presented at State, National and International conferences on leadership, school culture, 21st century learning communities and implementing a coaching culture to improve leadership and teacher performance.
